1% for the Planet was founded on the idea that a company has a responsibility to give back for use of our planet’s resources. More than 20 years later, we’re still helping businesses make good on their commitments.

Over 20 years of impact.

1% for the Planet was created by Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews as a way for businesses to hold themselves accountable for their environmental impact. Since then, we’ve expanded across the globe and helped thousands of businesses give back.
